In Another Lifetime

IN ANOTHER LIFETIME

Gary Valenciano
from the album: Relevance

Have you ever wanted someone so much...
that everyday in your life...
you whisper a silent prayer to God?...

I could hold on for a hundred years
When all else is gone
I would still be here
In a memory of things yet unseen
I’d remember all that we’ve never been
And I cannot wait to see
What life has in store for me

to make a way for both of you...
but to your dismay...

[chorus]
In another lifetime
It would be forever
In another world
Where you and I
Could be together
In another set of chances
I’d take the one’s I’d missed
And make you mine
If only for a time
My life would matter
In another life
one day you wake up...
and see the walls that has been built...

between you and that one special person...

And I’d stay as strong and I’d stay as true
And you’d have forever now to think it through
Coz I believe what wasn’t meant to be
Wasn’t meant for now and
Someday you’ll see
In a place and time we never know
I’d be standing there waiting for you
[Repeat Chorus]

Have you ever hope...
to spend your life with him forever?...

[Bridge]
You would be mine
But until that time is now
I’d be holding on somehow
[Repeat Chorus]

but then amidst the reality...
that has been laid before you...
[Coda]
But until that time
I’ll be holding onto forever
Until another life

you still nurture that hope inside you...
that maybe someday...
......

maybe in another lifetime...

maybe then he'll be yours...

"If"

"If," ...
What a useless word!
A ticket to an eternal preoccupation with the past -
and with how it could have been...
It was the way it was...
It is the way it is... And that is that...
We make the choices we have to make...
Yes, we may look back and realize...
how wrong or foolish we were to have taken the route we did...
but the fact remains we can only make today's choices...
with today's information, wisdom, and providence...
I realize all this now - but heaven alone knows..
how I have stretched the tape of my mind's eye...
rewinding and re-playing those last few conversations...
re-reading those last letters...
imagining what would have happened if....

I had not stop myself from running to you...
and ask you not to easily give up...
and tell you the words that choke me still...
Would it have made a difference if I had?

I have become a firm believer that nothing happens by chance...
Do you remember that basketball game...
when you made that winning shot...
and told me that it was for me...
that was the sweetest memory I ever had in my whole life...
But because of my unknowingly mistakes you disappeared...
What a cruel destiny...
I wonder how many people realized...
how deep the water I had landed in was...
Perhaps I was drowning...
For months I have stood mummy-like...
Can I go on?
Would it make a difference?
I've struggled to find satisfaction in a world of unshared pleasures...
Yes, I have shared many things with many people -
but my soul has always ached for you...

The Saddest Love...

The saddest love is...

when you know that you love this person...
and that person loves you too...
and still wants you...
but the circumstances...
don't let you have each other...

2 decades had passed... Our lives have changed so much,
but not my feelings... not my goddamn feelings...
No one can ever take your place...

Slice N' Dice

I enjoyed my first visit in this restaurant.

I hate garlic, but i did love their garlic rice, which was a surprise. I also like their grilled chorizo and coffee toffee.

They have this 99 peso meal. Available in many kinds of steak. It could be a T-bone steak, or a garlic steak etc. For only less than one hundred you will get the chance to experience a very good food. It was very affordable and at the same time delicious. It was all tender plus the rice was perfectly cook!

Slice n' Dice is way way cheaper compared to the other steak houses that we visited.

After 20 years...

Dearest Someone,

everything hasn't been easy for us back then...
we were young and very in-love(at least on my part)...

that was 1990... when we met...
believing everything will be okay...
but then... i have to leave... even if i don't want to...
i begged and cried...
but i have to obey my parent...
my heart was filled with anger...
and i was really hurting inside...
knowing i will be miles away from you...

but i have to endure it... i have to be strong...
believing... hoping... someday we can be together...
that hope was a comfort and gave me patience...
to wait for the future...

all i can do was to send you letters at that time...
i did everything just to be strong...and not give up...
i am young and foolish at that time...
and... i love you...
nothing else matter...

year 1993, when we finally moved from La Union to Malolos...
i was really happy...i can finally see you in just a couple of rides...
my family knew how important you are to me...
i did everything i can... i hope you knew that...
just to make our relationship work...

i study hard...
while trying to reach you...
to be with you in every way i can...
you have been my inspiration...
my strength...but life has been very cruel...

after 6 long years... you just decided to gave up on me...
i know i have my own share of fault & mistakes...
which i felt very sorry...and i hated myself for that...
i was hurt... very hurt...
and nothing i can do to make things work for us at that time...
but i still have the strength to hang on...
so i decided not to give up...
because in my heart i always believe that destiny will bring as back together...
that true love never ends...

then, i needed to go to college...
i was very lucky to have been granted a scholarship...
i want you to be proud of me...studying occupied my time...
but i always make it a point to pass by your house...
when i have time... hoping to see you...

i did finished my studies with honors...
but medals around my neck...felt worthless...
without the people i want to offer them with...
after that, I managed to find a job...
a job where i can be near you...
i decided to live with my grandparent...
just to be near you...
knowing you're just a couple of streets away...
means a lot to me...

i waited for you to realized that i am here...
i waited for you...to accept me again...
i have waited for you... to love me again...
my hopes and faith vanished when i found out about her...
i felt devastated... because that was the time...
that i finally realize that my heart must let go...
that i have to acknowledge that you have drifted further away from me...

i guess that's how love works...
i must learn to let go...
and i must learn to accept...
that there are things that wasn't meant me...
even if i wanted it so badly...

we have our separate lives now...
but i have waited 20 years to tell you these...

If i will be given another chance to live my life all over again...
I wouldn't change a thing...
God have blessed me enough when He allowed me...
to be part of your life...

now...
i think...
I can let the missing puzzle piece fit in...

Get to Know 'Twilight' Vamp Bree Tanner

If you haven't had a chance to read Stephenie Meyer's "The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner: An Eclipse Novella" but you want to learn more about Bree Tanner -- the short-lived but still very important "Eclipse" character-before the movie hits theaters on June 30, then you must check out this featurette from Summit that introduces the newborn vampire.

Bree Tanner is played by Jodelle Ferland, which I personally think is really right for the role of Bree. She's very cute, cute and lovable vampire. Seeing Bree alive in this video made me cry. I cried after reading The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner online and I end up wishing Stephenie would have ended Bree's story in Eclipse differently ~ she even said the same thing herself...

Can't wait to see Eclipse!

Our Last Vacation...

For some, the obstacles are few and far between...
For others, obstacles can lurk at every turn...
It's up to us as individuals how we deal with each situation...
We can fret and worry...
We can repeat the "Why me?" mantra until we turn blue...
But it doesn't help... been there... done that...

If you seek the positive, even in a tragic event...
you will be able to walk away with new insight or joy in the fact that...
you knew the person or had memories from happier times...

I'm just glad, we have memories and pictures...
of our last vacation with my mom... to live by...

I love you, Ma...
I miss you so much...

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner

Read This Book Online
This site will be live from noon EST on June 7th until midnight EST on July 5th.

After reading this (for almost 5 hours) online, I definitely feel a lot of sympathy towards the newborns who were merely pawns in Victoria's quest for revenge. After reading this you will care about what happens to her, even though as a Twilight fan you'll already know the outcome...a tragic end for Bree. Maybe you'll be left feeling, as Meyer was, that Bree's outcome should have been different. She deserved better. It was amazing to get Bree's side of the story to see her have the same struggles as twilight favorites such as love, devotion and pure confusion as well as the all new newborn experience which Bella didn't go through. It actually makes me appreciate Edward a lot more for his compassion; and love Bree as a strong-willed intelligent character. It's a shame it couldn't end well for her, but knowing this Stephanie Meyer did something quite amazing in that she brought the story to a place where you knew it was going to happen, Bree knew it was going to happen and you kind of wanted that for her, that final peace as the truth becomes known to the ones that need to know and yet again love is avenged.

After finishing this, I went back and re-read Bree's main scene in Eclipse (p. 568-578 in paperback), and I loved reading the story from both perspectives. Getting inside Bree's head was really interesting, while it was also great to go back and revisit the scene through Bella's eyes. I also enjoyed Bree's exchanges with Carlisle, Esme and Edward. Mostly Edward. I've missed him since the books ended. Meyer really needs to release Midnight Sun sometime soon!

A brilliant read and an amazing brilliant character! Another good short book by Stephenie Meyer to read!

The Horse and His Boy

The Horse and His Boy (Chronicles of Narnia, #3)

Another wonderful part of the Chronicles of Narnia series. This book takes place during the reigns of Kings Peter and Edmund and Queens Susan and Lucy. It is only indirectly a story about the Pevensies but is more about the affairs in the neighboring kingdoms of Archenland and Calormen (although the story is in essence a story of the saving of Narnia from a Calormeen invasion). For me, the most striking theological argument of the novel is the influence of Aslan in the lives of people who do not even believe in his existence. It is the least engaging of the series, initially, but after the first se
veral chapters the novel becomes just as quick to read as the other delightful Chronicles.

This book also has different style than the other books, because Aslan, Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy's roles were not as prominent and obvious in the beginning. This is a great example about God uses the weak to shame the wise. The main character of the story, a boy named Shasta is outwardly a run-away slave, while Rabadash is the Tashbaan prince. However, Shasta (or Cor) has way more character and courage than Rabadash. This is a great story with a great but not too predictable ending, especially the ending about the 2 horses...!

You really should read this book!

Favorite Quote: "Rabadash," said Aslan. "Take heed. Your doom is very near, but you may still avoid it. Forget your pride (what have you to be proud of?) and your anger (who has done you wrong?) and accept the mercy of these good kings." (P. 216)

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (Chronicles of Narnia, #2)

One of my favorite book of C.S Lewis. I chose to read the entire series because I loved the movies so much. I enjoyed reading this book very much. The story is quite endearing. I would recommend everyone to read it because it is very interesting and it kept me wanting to read more so that I could find out what was going to happen next. This is the book about four young kids who find an amazing adventure in a wardrobe in a new world. It starts out with the young Lucy finding Narnia in the Wardrobe and a fawn, Tumus. The novel continues until all four siblings--Lucy, Edmund, Peter, and Susan--are fighting the White Witch for Narnia's freedom. This book demonstrates the harshness of not listening to family and friends and the amazing gift of forgiveness. I recommend this book for all ages, children to adults.

I love Aslan!!!

The Magician's Nephew (Chronicles of Narnia Book #1)

How I came to read this book???...
We'll, after seeing & thoroughly enjoying "The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe"
and "Prince Caspian" movie...
I decided to bite the bullet and read all 7 of CS Lewis' Narnia books...

I really liked this book...
Lewis was just brilliant...
This story explains the creation of a new planet...
spoken into life by Aslan...
and the beginning of Narnia...
I picked this book after seeing the first Narnia movie...
The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe...
which was a later book in the series...
I finally got my answers about the old man...
the lightpost...
and it was interesting to see how the white witch got to Narnia.
..

A definitely must-read book in my opinion...

Bohol Peanut Kisses

When my office mate husband came back from his work (he's a seaman)...

he generously gave me a pack of Peanut Kisses as pasalubong...
I was really curious about it that as soon as I got home...
I opened it and popped them one by one...It looks like a Hershey's Kisses...
but it taste more like a cookies with peanut butter on it...
And it tasted good, really...
Definitely, this one’s going to be a MUST-have pasalubong for me!

New Stephenie Meyer Novel – The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner

Below is a press release for the book.
Also go to Stephenie Meyer’s official site for more information.
This is so cool!!!! The book is available for pre-order from Amazon. Check it out here.

LITTLE, BROWN BOOKS FOR YOUNG READERS WILL RELEASE
NEW NOVEL FROM INTERNATIONAL PHENOMENON
STEPHENIE MEYER ON SATURDAY, JUNE 5, 2010
THE SHORT SECOND LIFE OF BREE TANNER: AN ECLIPSE NOVEL

NEW YORK, NY (March 30, 2010) – Little, Brown Books for Young Readers, a division of
Hachette Book Group, has announced today that it will release the first new title from Stephenie
Meyer in nearly two years. The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner is a novella told from the point
of view of Bree, a character originally featured in Eclipse. The novella (at 192 pages) will be
released at 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, June 5, 2010 in hardcover for $13.99 with a first printing of
1.5 million copies. One dollar for each book sold in the US from the first printing will be donated
to the American Red Cross International Response Fund, which supports disaster relief efforts
such as those in Haiti and Chile.*

“I’m as surprised as anyone about this novella,” said Stephenie Meyer. “When I began working
on it in 2005, it was simply an exercise to help me examine the other side of Eclipse, which I
was editing at the time. I thought it might end up as a short story that I could include on my
website. Then, when work started on The Twilight Saga: The Official Guide, I thought the Guide
would be a good fit for my Bree story. However, the story grew longer than I anticipated, until it
was too long to fit into the Guide.”
As a special thank you to fans, Meyer is giving them exclusive access to the novel on a
dedicated website, www.breetanner.com, from June 7 to July 5, 2010 where fans from around
the world will be able to read the book online in English. “I’d always considered The Short
Second Life of Bree Tanner as something for the fans,” said Meyer. “They have been so
supportive of all things Twilight.”

Visitors to the dedicated site will also find a link to the American Red Cross website
(www.redcross.org), where they can make a donation and learn more about their relief efforts
worldwide. “I have been moved by the generous outpouring of support for the recent crises in
Haiti and Chile,” said Meyer. “I am glad that sales of this book will support the American Red
Cross with their amazing efforts abroad.”
“Fans have been waiting with bated breath for a new book from Stephenie,” said Megan
Tingley, Senior Vice President and Publisher of Little, Brown Books for Young Readers. “We are
doubly thrilled to be giving them the opportunity to read this exciting new work as well as
contribute to an important cause at the same time.”

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner is the riveting story of Bree Tanner, a newborn vampire
first introduced in Eclipse, and the darker side of the world she inhabits. The novella chronicles
the newborn vampire army’s journey as they prepare to close in on Bella Swan and the Cullens,
following their encounter to its unforgettable conclusion.

The character Bree not only features prominently in the book Eclipse, but in the upcoming
movie from Summit Entertainment. “Stephenie was gracious enough to let me read a draft of the
novella while we were prepping the movie The Twilight Saga: Eclipse,” said Director David
Slade. “I thoroughly enjoyed the story and it gave us great insight and inspired location choices
and the tailoring of scenes. I think fans are going to love the fascinating details involved in the
loves, fears and actions of an emerging vampire.”

The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner will also be available as an ebook beginning at 6:00 a.m.
EST on June 5, 2010. Additionally, more information about the previously announced The
Twilight Saga: The Official Guide, including publication date, will be released by the end of the
year.

In less than five years, Stephenie Meyer has become a worldwide publishing phenomenon. The
Twilight Saga’s translation rights have been sold in nearly 50 countries and 100 million copies
have been sold worldwide.

*Donations to the American Red Cross from the US sales of The Short Second Life of Bree
Tanner will continue until all first printing copies have been sold or at the end of a two-year
period from the initial publication date, whichever is the first to occur.
The American Red Cross name is used with its permission, which in no way constitutes an
endorsement, express or implied, of any product, service, company, opinion or political position.

You can pre-order the book at Amazon.

Mama Marisa

Marisa Estoesta
February 27, 1958 - April 18, 2009

Dearest Mama,

Happy Birthday, Mama...

We are celebrating your first birthday there in heaven...

It's been nearly a year since you left suddenly...

It would have been nice to have a final chat with you...

but time did not allow us the privilege...

Massive stroke ripped you away too fast...

stealing your life and robbing me of life with you...

Had there been warning, I would have come home more often, and stayed longer...

Had I known, I might not have moved so far away...

But if you knew the warning signs, you kept them to yourself...

You would not have wanted to alter life for any of your children...

But Ma, your passing altered our lives, plenty...

You left daughters and son without a mother to direct us into our senior years...

You left grandchildren who depended upon your thoughtful eye...

And when you left Ma, you took my friend, my counselor...

and my only remaining parent...

It changed me. I had to grow up...

No mother would be there to catch me or fund my mistakes...

No mother would love me despite my faults...

No mother would answer the phone and listen to my news...

I tear-up when I realize...

I will never see my little old mother walk hand-in-hand with my old step-father...

I will never need to push you in a wheelchair - for you are not growing older - like I am...

One day Ma, we shall embrace again - one day on the other side...

Until then, I think of you often and send my love as I visit you...

My thoughts of you are many and my love for you is deep...

Happy 1st Birthday (in heaven), Ma!

Loving you always,

Michelle
Your Eldest Daughter

My mama just passed away last April…
The devastation of losing my mama knocked the wind out of me…
And you know what? It will never go away…
Anyone who has lost someone that is that close to you will always carry that pain…

And now that our beloved Grandfather has left us too…
It broke our hearts to see him have to go through all the pain…
We just wanted to take the disease from him and make him better again…
I wish every day that we had more time…

It hurts us, it devastates us forever, but you know what?...
We owe it to him to get back up,
to strive ahead, and to try harder…
We got to keep going…

Our Grandfather was a very loving Husband, Father and Grandfather ...
Our Grandfather was a strong man who always took care of us and everyone else…
We have been very fortunate in life to have a Great Grandfather…

"We have the best grandfather in the whole world...
and we will miss him every day."
